NFPA 79 Compliant Repairs and Services
Most people know their property must comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) along with state and local building and safety regulations. However, many commercial and industrial facilities are also subject to a separate set of standards outlined in NFPA 79 — the Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery. These guidelines focus specifically on fire and electrical safety for industrial equipment and systems.
Keeping your business compliant with all applicable codes and standards is essential not only for safe day-to-day operations, but also to ensure you remain in good standing during inspections and avoid costly corrections or downtime.

Q) Can CORElectric, Inc. help us figure out our facility electrical needs for some new production equipment even though we don’t have an electrical plan?
A) Absolutely. The primary focus of CORElectric, Inc.'s work is Design-Build, in which it uses 40 years of prime hands-on experience to find the best solutions in terms of time, budget, process, or all combined.
Q) We just purchased a new production line of foreign manufacture that’s not certified in the United States and has no U.L. labeling. Will we be able to get this new equipment permitted?
A) CORElectric, Inc. regularly consults with its Clients during the pre-purchase of manufacturing equipment. Dealing with the proper U.S. certification(s) before the sale is much easier than after the fact. If the foreign equipment has been delivered to you, it’s likely a field certification with have to take place as necessary to obtain a permit and approval from your City or County jurisdiction. CORElectric, Inc. can provide you with a turnkey solution that will limit the company’s liability and gain the necessary approval(s) for equipment operation.

A) Please contact CORElectric, Inc. so we can offer you a consultation, where our real electricians will inspect any potential building for current and/or future power aptitude before you commit to a purchase or lease.
Q) We’re moving our production organization to another location. Some of our machinery is very old, and we’ve heard that it might not comply with current standards that could preclude permit approval at the new location. What should we do?
A) At CORElectric, Inc. we recommend that all such relocations be considered for the purpose of the existing operation and its impact on a successful move. We can help you identify the potential issues before they become show stoppers at the new location. Please contact CORElectric, Inc. for a consultation.
